Thrifty Gal was born in 2024 when owner, Liv Davies, dramatically pivoted from working as an engineer to slinging vintage, as her passion for sustainability and unique style saw her side hustle become her full-time gig.

If you’re looking for an expertly curated selection of fem Y2K and 90s streetwear and upcycled pieces, then Thrifty Gal is your one-stop shop!
Liv aims to take the stress out of shopping second-hand as she strives to create a hassle-free customer experience.
“Every piece is hand-selected, cleaned, and carefully sized so our gals can confidently shop preloved fashion.”

With a stringent focus on uplifting the everyday thrifter, Liv makes sure to involve the Thrifty Gal community as much as possible.
“One of the most memorable moments at Thrifty Gal was our first ‘Model for a Day’ photoshoot. We invited real customers — not professional models — to represent the brand. Seeing our gals step in front of the camera wearing second-hand fashion they genuinely loved, and light up with confidence, was unforgettable.”

Liv says that days like these perfectly capture what Thrifty Gal is all about,
“Empowerment through reimagines fashion, community, and celebrating individuality”

Liv’s drastic career change was sparked by her observations as an engineer.
“I saw first-hand how much waste modern industries create… the fashion industry stood out as one of the most harmful.”
Liv recognised that although the current state of the industry was problematic, the fashion realm was still a creative space where positive change could be made.
“My goal has always been to show that sustainable and preloved fashion doesn’t have to look ‘eco’. It can be bold, rebellious, and high-style”
