Jodie Shoobridge is the creative mind behind Pricilla’s Emporium. Jodie is a home-based artisan with a passion for remaking and reworking second-hand textiles, furniture, and unwanted household items.
“I love using existing materials to upcycle, recycle, reuse, recreate, or refurbish,” says Jodie, “I then convert them into something usable, wearable, functional, or fun.”
Pricilla’s Emporium is a treasure trove full of unexpected curios, clothing, accessories, and homewares.

Jodie’s favourite creative output has been her reimagined denim jackets…
“Remade denim jackets have been very popular,” says Jodie, “each piece is made with a combination of hand painting, embellishment, or other reworking, reflecting a range of styles and interests.”
Shopping at Pricilla’s Emporium is best done with an open mind and an appreciation for the weird and wonderful. You never know what handmade novelty you might fall in love with.

“My passion is to transform abundant existing textiles and other materials into something to wear, display, admire, or use,” says Jodie.
Pricilla’s Emporium is an artistic outlet for Jodie, who says,
“Playing in the creative space continues to provide a buffer from personal challenges, and is a healthy contrast from academic and professional roles, where creativity is not often valued.”
