In true book lover form, Karla tells the story of how Better Off Read came to be…
“Once upon a time, there was a girl who REALLY, REALLY loved books. Every morning, she would start her day by crawling out of bed, making herself a hot cup of tea, and then, with her cat snuggled on her lap, sit for hours, lost in a book before heading off to work. She loved books so much that she ended up with them ALL OVER her house. They were piled on her floor. Stacked in her wardrobe. They were even buried under her bed! Eventually, this resulted in her having a little problem. She had run out of places to store her books. She decided to part with them the only way she knew how – to share them with other book lovers. And that was the day Better Off Read Books was born…..”
Interacting with customers is Karla’s favourite part of running Better Off Read.
“As a small business owner, I am eternally grateful for anyone who shows up and supports my little business. Whether it’s through making a purchase, positive feedback or even an Instagram follow. It all makes a difference. And it’s all appreciated more than you’ll know.”
Better Off Read caters to all readers, no matter their age, preferred genre, gender, or reading level. Reading is a hobby for everyone, whether you’re a kid, a teen, or even a grandpa.
